Montreal and Quebec 2010 RV Shows
The Montreal and Quebec RV Shows, organized by the Association des commerçants de véhicules récréatifs du Québec (ACVRQ), in collaboration with Leclerc insurance and financial services AVIVA distributor, were a hit with the visitors.
The Montreal and Quebec RV Shows respectively welcomed 37,874 and 19,898 visitors. The ACVRQ is very satisfied with the turnout and notices that the population is opting more and more for RV vacations when time comes to plan recreation activities.
All visitors truly appreciated the quality of the hundreds of recreational vehicles displayed. In short, 750,000 square feet of dream and discovery. From small camping trailers to motorhomes, there was something to satisfy every taste and budget.
The Vacation Destinations section also captured the attention of the visitors. Camping and caravanning lovers were able, during these two events, to discover magnificent places for their next adventure, such as James Bay Tourism, Ile de la Madeleine, Prince Edward Island, Mauricie, New Brunswick, Saguenay Lac St-Jean, Ontario, Yukon, Northwest Territories, to name a few. There were also many campgrounds in Quebec and the States and a wide range of activities, such as Paint-ball Mirabel, the Grand-Prix de Trois-Rivières, the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival and much more. Equally important to mention are the professionals, related services specialists and equipment and accessories consultants who were present, namely, Docteur du Pare-brise, Edgar Blondeau, Hamel Honda, Lebeau vitres d’autos, Rogers, Toiles Unicanvas, Michelin and its mascot and several others.
Foundation and Donations
We donated ¢0.50 per adult ticket sold during the RV SHOWS. Moisson Montréal, who ensures an optimal food supply to community agencies serving people in need on the Montreal Island, received $12,244 from the proceeds of the Montreal RV Show and Moisson Québec, with the same mission in Quebec, received $7,248.50.
RV Training and Career Hall
Like last year, we invited people interested in a career in the RV industry to come meet us on the morning of the Show openings. We welcomed approximately twenty participants in Montreal and about ten in Quebec. Moreover, many visitors visited our RV Career booth, composed of CSMO (Comité sectoriel de la main d’œuvre) and professional training centres.
2011
The Montreal and Quebec RV Shows will be back next year. The Montreal RV Show will be held from March 10 – 13, 2011 at the Olympic Stadium, and the Quebec Show will take place from March 24 – 27, 2011 at the Centre de foires Expocité. An event not to be missed!
